MySocialLinks is committed to protecting users, visitors, and platform integrity. This policy explains how we approach data security, platform moderation, payment safety, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.
1. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information stored and processed on the Platform.
- User data is protected using industry-standard security practices.
- Access to internal systems is restricted and monitored.
- Sensitive credentials are never stored in plain text.
- We regularly review security practices to reduce risk and prevent unauthorised access.
Payment information:
Payments for MySocialLinks subscription plans are processed by third-party payment providers. MySocialLinks does not store or have access to full card numbers, bank details, or authentication data.
2. Platform Moderation and Safety Standards
We actively review and moderate user profiles to maintain platform safety and compliance.
This may include review of:
- Usernames and display names
- Profile images and profile layouts
- Bios, descriptions, and visible profile materials
- External links added to profiles
Prohibited Use and Materials
The Platform must not be used for:
- Illegal activity or facilitation of illegal activity
- Fraud, impersonation, or deceptive conduct
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, or abuse
- Violent or harmful imagery
- Malware, phishing, or financial scams
- Restricted or regulated goods where prohibited by law
- Attempts to bypass moderation, plan limits, or safety controls
Enforcement
If violations are identified, we may take action including:
- Content or profile restriction
- Feature limitation
- Account suspension or termination
Actions are taken to protect users, visitors, and the Platform.
3. Payment Security and Fraud Prevention
Platform Subscription Payments
- Subscription payments for MySocialLinks are handled by third-party payment processors.
- All payment activity is encrypted and secured by the provider.
- Fraud monitoring and risk controls are applied by the payment processor.
External Tips and Payment Links
The Platform may allow users to connect or link external payment services (for example Stripe, PayPal, Revolut, Cash App, Wise, Square, or Venmo).
Important clarifications:
- Tips are processed entirely by the selected third-party provider
- MySocialLinks does not charge fees, hold funds, route payments, or control tips
- Any disputes, reversals, chargebacks, or holds are handled by the payment provider under their own rules
4. Automated Features and Integration Security
Some plans include automation features and integrations with third-party platforms.
- All automated posting and integrations are opt-in
- Users must explicitly connect and authorise third-party accounts
- MySocialLinks only performs the actions configured by the user
Tokens and Webhooks
- Certain integrations (for example OBS, Streamlabs, or Discord webhooks) use private tokens
- Anyone with access to a token may trigger associated actions
- Users are responsible for keeping tokens confidential and rotating them if exposed
No private payment data or personal financial details are shared through automation features.
5. Identity Verification and Compliance
MySocialLinks itself does not perform identity verification or KYC checks on users.
Where payment providers require identity verification (for example to receive funds through their services), that verification:
- Is handled directly by the payment provider
- Is governed by the provider's own terms and compliance obligations
- Is not controlled by MySocialLinks
6. Chargebacks and Refunds
Platform Subscription Refunds
Refunds for MySocialLinks subscription plans are handled according to the Platform's refund policy and applicable law.
External Payments and Tips
- Tips are voluntary and processed externally
- MySocialLinks does not initiate or decide refunds for external payments
- Chargebacks and disputes are handled by the relevant payment provider, card network, or bank
- Final decisions are made by those entities, not MySocialLinks
Where permitted, we may provide factual platform information to payment providers during investigations.
7. Account Protection and Abuse Prevention
Users are responsible for:
- Keeping login credentials secure
- Using strong passwords
- Reporting suspected unauthorised access promptly
We may restrict or terminate accounts involved in:
- Fraud or abuse
- Impersonation
- Repeated policy violations
- Attempts to evade enforcement
Account deletion is permanent and may result in loss of access to profile materials and features.
8. Regulatory and Legal Compliance
We aim to operate in compliance with:
- Applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and UK GDPR)
- Payment-processor rules
- Applicable financial and anti-fraud regulations
Suspicious activity may be investigated internally and, where legally required, reported to relevant authorities.
9. Currency and Payment Processing
- Platform subscription fees are charged in the currency shown at checkout
- External tips and payments are processed under the terms of the chosen provider
- Any conversion fees, settlement delays, or banking issues are outside MySocialLinks' control
10. Reporting Security Issues or Violations
To report:
- Security vulnerabilities
- Suspected fraud
- Policy violations
- Abuse or impersonation
Reports are reviewed promptly and appropriate action is taken where necessary.
